Renee Tan

Renee Tan is the Founder and Managing Director of Hashtaqs®, which helps businesses to scale up and internationalise through brand transformation, omni-channel marketing and ecosystem development. She has more than 13 years of corporate experience in sales, marketing and ecosystem development for the MICE sector in various industries such as Life Sciences, Healthcare, Supply Chain & Logistics, Mining, Power Electricity, Private Banking, Hedge Funds, and recently been actively building the community in the technology, innovation, and sustainability arena.

She’s also the Founder of HER® Entrepreneur, an inclusive and diverse regional community and omni-channel media platform which inspires, educates, empowers and also connects the ecosystem of entrepreneurs, leaders, government and investors across Asia through online content, monthly LearnXNetwork sessions and the yearly summit that was held in Singapore and Malaysia. Her yearly conference gathers C-suites and Founders to discuss, connect and forge potential partnerships.

She’s the Chief Producer for the HASH Asia Summit which was recently held that gathers business owners, industry leaders, government and investors across Asia to discuss about innovation, technology and sustainability.

She’s also the Partner for Artificial Intelligence International Institute (AIII), a think thank that advocates Sustainable AI for Humanity, which is a strategic international partner to the World AI Conference (WAIC), that hosts the largest AI conference globally. AIII’s role is to build the ecosystem of the AI industry globally and venture build AI startups.

She was a recipient of the Brands For Good Award in 2019 and was featured in The Business Times. She’s also the recipient of the SME Excellence Business Award 2022/2023 and the Aspiring Woman Entrepreneurs 2022/2023.

She had been invited to speak in several SME events and events for the MICE industry across the region. Her business and herself was featured in several media platforms such as 938FM, Astro Radio, e27, The Economist, CNA, News5, Marketing in Asia, The Business Times, etc.

She is a Singapore certified management consultant by the certifying body, TUV SUD, an ACTA certified trainer, and a degree graduate who holds a Double Major in Psychology and Marketing from the Singapore Management University. She recently holds an advanced certificate in Venture Capital.

James has more than 35 years of enterprise software experience on digital transformation and innovation in Asia, US and Europe across multiple industry verticals across multiple generations of technology evolution including Enterprise Software and CRM, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining. Distributed Systems and Databases, Blockchain and Web 3.0, Virtual World and Metaverse, Mobile Internet, Cloud Computing.

His industry sector experience covers Consumer Retail, FMCG, Education, Healthcare, Financial Services, Government, Automotive, High Tech and Telecom and some Global 2000 companies he has advised for adoption of emerging technologies includes Huawei, Nokia, Motorola, Intel, Olympus, Pepsi, Ab-Inbev, Bacardi, Wilmar, Nielsen, CitySuper, BMW, Double Fortune, DBS, OCBC, Sompo, Metro Education, IBM, HP, NCR, Xerox, Lucent, Nortel, Fujitsu, Ford, Renault.

Dr. James Ong is an entrepreneur and community builder where he is actively involved in the AI and tech ecosystem in China and ASEAN. James is now the founder and CEO of Origami that provides strategy, technology and investment advisory services for venturing towards Autonomous Enterprise where he served as advisor for various technology startups, unicorns and listed companies in Singapore and China.

He also founded Artificial Intelligence International Institute (AIII), a think tank advocating Sustainable AI for Humanity with research interests on next generation AI 3.0, AI governance, ethics and risk management, Trustworthy and Responsible AI. He is also adjunct professor at SUTD and serves as mentor at NUS, SUTD and NTU acceleration program.

James started his career as an AI scientist at leading US MCC research lab on advanced AI Fifth Generation Computer research from 1986-1995 and then as pioneer team at Trilogy, an AI technology pioneer and enterprise software startup from 1995-2002. In 2007, he co-founded a virtual digital marketing agency for Second Life in 2007 that was acquired by Hakuhodo, the world’s seven largest advertising agency in 2017.

He received his PhD in Management Information System specializing on AI for Business Process Automation and MA & BA in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin. He has published over 25 business, industry and technical papers and reports at major journals, books and conferences.

Daryl Lee Jin Yao is the Senior Marketing Executive of Hashtaqs Pte Ltd, specialising in uplifting businesses in brand transformation and marketing advisory/implementation online and offline and internationalisation. He has a background in Graphic Design and has studied at Nottingham Trent University and University of Derby, UK, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design & MA in Visual Communication.

He is knowledgeable and able to use various Adobe design and Microsoft programs, has a basic knowledge of Front End Web Development and is language proficient in both English and Malay.

He has experience and worked in different industries, ranging from Digital Marketing, Health & Wellness, Advertising and Mobile app companies.

During his spare time, he enjoys listening to music, going on social media, watching movies/TV series, gaming, drawing and socializing with close friends.

Randy Sng

Randy Sng spent 20 years in the manufacturing industry with positions in senior management and leadership role. Functional coverage – manufacturing engineering, materials and purchasing, production and operation, supply chain management and information technology (IT). Experience working in SMEs and MNCs.

He spent another 17 years in the IT industry with extensive experience in business development, advisory, consultancy and project management. His regional role included Asia Pacific and Asean, providing IT business infrastructure and application solutions in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Business Analytics.

A practitioner and strong leader with proven management track record and Profit & Loss responsibility.

Randy was awarded the Expert Singapore Certified Management Consultant (ESCMC) by TUV SUD PSB in May 2017, under the Spring recognized scheme of approved certification organizations.

Randy is passionate in helping organizations to grow their businesses and improve business processes in achieving bottom line results. His substantive practitioner experience with leading MNCs and SMEs will benefit organizations in engaging his service in the areas of consulting and training.

He was trained and appointed as Maestro in IBM (2010), an internal champion for training, coaching and mentoring of key IBM initiatives to regional sales units. He was an Advanced Toastmaster and Competent Leader, has trained and mentored toastmasters in effective presentation and communication.

He was the Immediate Past President of Serangoon Gardens Country Club from 2014 to 2018. Was Chairman of Service Excellence, Tender and Project, Facility Maintenance and Safety, Human Resource sub-committee. Conducted training needs analysis and facilitate Personal Effectiveness training for managers and leaders. Implemented Treasury and Safeguard Framework and Balanced Budget for operations management. Achieved good results for past fiscal years in operating surplus and increasing financial reserve.

Successfully advised 5 small medium enterprise (SME) projects under the Business Advisors Program (BAP) – SIM-Spring program to help SME grow businesses and improve business processes.

Currently active in consulting project for SME as Certified Management Consultant. Project focus on business process improvement for warehouse management, in collaboration with solution provider as resident management consultant.

Worked on Leadership and People Management (Manage Self and Cultivate Workplace Relationship) curriculum improvement for Training Vision. An Adult Educator, Randy facilitates, trains and assesses adult learners in Leadership and People Management, and Service Excellence. Paul Tham

Paul Tham is a seasoned professional in managing partnerships for large multi-national companies. With the experience and knowledge, Paul is an experienced consultant & facilitator with more than 30 years in the IT industry holding various senior positions, from sales and marketing, customer service, business management to partnership management with leading IT multi-national companies. Overall, Paul’s extensive business management in Asia Pacific including Japan, Australia and People’s Republic of China working in large US multi- national companies including HP, Compaq, Digital Computer Corporation, Sun Microsystems Inc, Polycom and Oracle Corporation.

Paul is a commercially focused and seasoned professional in developing business and managing partnerships for large multi-national companies with extensive experience in IT and Education sectors.

Being a senior management, Paul is a mentor and coach to his team of executives. Paul has successfully mentored and coached senior level staff to groom good executives be better in their roles. Essentially, Paul focus to make them an effective leader. Being a senior management staff, Paul has also received executive coaching to develop his leadership qualities. In recent years, Paul has provided HR consultation to a number of SMEs in Singapore.

As a strategic results and people oriented business manager, Paul’s extensive experience range from general business management, leading people to managing partners as well as customers. His track record includes leading the APAC services partner operations that span more than US$100M costs of goods sold using project management skills, building of indirect business from 10% to 50% between 2004 and 2009 through channel strategic business development in new market opportunities, implementing partner enabling ecosystems that facilitate partners to resell / co-deliver services and directing the outsourcing of service delivery to subcontractors by setting target date without operational risk exposures.

Paul’s specialisation is in a spectrum of partnership management that included suppliers, subcontractors, vendors, distributors, resell channels, teaming partners and joint ventures with a focus on elevated levels in service delivery to customers. His interest spans across the domain of partner management and related behavioural studies. Paul is a faculty of NUS School of Computing Strategic Technology Management Institute.

Michael Chua

Michael is a digital banking expert with a background in information security, risk, Cybercrime and fraud management, serving leading financial institutions in Europe, Australia, Asia and Africa for over 30 years.

He is one of the rare professionals that has handled a real-time Cyberattack and brought the organisation back to business-as-usual.

He has started two businesses and is very familiar with what drives and motivates businesses. With his proven experience, he can articulate precise blueprints and roadmaps towards technology changes and distil complex issues into business lingo to persuade and influence C-level executives and stakeholders.

Currently, he is a consultant that transforms companies into data driven businesses in the digital ecosystem.

Besides work, Michael is also an award winning film actor-producer, tropical fruit wine maker and fitness enthusiast.

Kokwing Tham

Sustainability Consultant

Tham Kok Wing is a practicing sustainability consultant who brings with him the benefit of deep knowledge, experience and grounding in ESG, Sustainability, Climate Risk and Carbon Management. He was most recently the director of a UK-based sustainability consultancy and spent more than four years prior to that as the Head of Industry Development, Sustainability and Decarbonisation Solutions at the Singapore Environment Council (SEC).

He has intimate knowledge of local and global developments covering the spectrum of policy frameworks, industry standards and practices, sustainability solutions, carbon management protocols and disclosure regimes. He has been involved in advocacy and relationship building, fronting key stakeholder engagements with industry, trade, business, civil society and regulatory agencies. He also had the benefit of working with local financial institutions (like OCBC, HSBC, etc.) on enabling green loans and sustainability-linked loans for local SMEs. He is familiar with TCFD, GFIT, MAS Asean Taxonomy for Sustainable Finance and UNEP FI Principles for Sustainable Insurance. Kok Wing is also conversant in sustainability reporting advising companies on GRI, SASB, SBTi and the evolving ISSB sustainability standards.

On top of that, he has a long and chequered track record in communications, public relations, risk and issues management, trust and relationship building having led global agencies like O&M, Fleishman Hillard, Edelman in senior leadership roles in Singapore and across the region. The unique mix of skills, knowledge and experience have enabled Kok Wing to deliver advisory, strategic and executive roles to help organizations and businesses overcome challenges and transform themselves successfully in a constantly evolving, complex, disruptive and uncertain world.

He is also a qualified WSQ ACPL (Advanced Certificate in Performance and Learning) trainer and has been key in developing and delivering a number of training curriculum, the most recent being SEC’s Sustainability Training Program that was supported by Enterprise Singapore (ESG) for senior and C-level executives that began in 2022. He served in adjunct lecturer roles with the Singapore Management University, the Institute of Public Relations and have been a speaker and panelist at NTU, polytechnics and think tank sessions. Kok Wing is also a pioneer Accredited Member of IPRS (the Institute of Public Relations Singapore) since early 2000.
